Dror Hibsh’s work embodies the passion and courage shared by both artist and scientist-venturing to the edge. He explores materials, engages in speculation, and invents new forms, contributing to the emergence of a unique materiality. The meticulousness and formal sensitivity evident in his works are indispensable, ensuring the material not only exists but also evolves, ultimately taking the form of a statue or a picture.

Dror Hibsh finished his PhD studies in Bioinformatics at Bar Ilan University, where he delved into the intricate world of cancer DNA. Alongside his scientific pursuits, Dror also immersed himself in the art scene, learning from a diverse group of masters. This eclectic bunch includes Jacob Bornstein, the photography whiz, Itzy Schwartz, the painting maestro, and Joerg Hassmann, the dance extraordinaire.

Dror is in the midst of wrapping up his MA studies at Tel Aviv University and pursuing his MFA at Haifa University. He showcased a solo exhibition at the Art-Space Gallery in Tel Aviv back in 2023 and has been part of quite a few group exhibitions and artist residency programs. Dror’s pieces adorn private collections.
