Sam Griffin was born and raised in South London, UK. He studied fine arts at the Cyprus College of Art in Larnaca and then attended the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem, Israel. For Griffin, the process of painting is about communicating inner experiences through a combination of mark-making and erasing, applying broad brush strokes across the canvas and removing paint to reveal a ghostly image.
